Angela Mustone is a specialist producer of adult cosmetics who has turned her attention to the cannabis industry and creating high quality infused personal lubricants, bath oils, and body paints. For Mustone, it was important that High On Love™ products are gynaecologically tested, soap and chemical-free, vegan and cruelty-free.

How did you get involved in the cannabis industry?

I have a successful line of sensual cosmetics called Dr. Papa and have a long history in the adult products industry. When I came across THC infused lubricants it was too good to pass up. So I launched HighOnLove and developed a high end product line that would appeal to women like me who appreciate quality and more pleasure in the bedroom!

Tell us a little bit about your product or service

HighOnLove is a brand new product line of sensual oils and body paint with pharmaceutical-grade cannabis oil. They’re blended with extremely high quality natural ingredients so they’re great for all skin types. Using cannabis in oils in this way brings added stimulation, pain reduction and increased blood flow for extra pleasure. These products will take you somewhere totally new, believe me!

What time does your day typically start and what does a normal day look like to you?

I start early and my day is packed – and I mean packed! – with all aspects of my businesses. From perfecting my packaging, meeting with manufacturers and suppliers all over the world, managing my local team here in Montreal, talking to press, taking my products to trade shows… it’s a lot, but it’s fun and I love it!

What is your vision for your company going forward?

My vision is for HighOnLove to really take off amongst women who have been looking for a solution to any unsatisfactory experiences in the bedroom. Whether they buy our products to relieve pain, or simply to add extra lubrication and a deeper level of pleasure – I want women everywhere to enjoy having our beautiful bottles on their night stand and enjoying the fulfillment they deserve in the bedroom.

What would an ideal post prohibition society look like to you?

It would look like all kinds of cannabis being readily available, in all forms, in all countries and provinces. I think it’s time for people to be able to take responsibility for how they use the powerful benefits of cannabis, and not have to worry about red tape of getting in trouble.

What was your first experience with cannabis like?

I wasn’t really impressed when I first smoked it. But using a cannabis-infused lubricant for the first time was honestly completely mind-blowing. Like nothing… and I mean nothing… I have ever experienced. So good. You have to try it to know what I’m talking about! It’s the gift that keeps on giving, haha. It makes sex an even more enjoyable experience. Out of this world.

Tell us about some of the challenges you face working in the cannabis industry

Well you’ve got the laws and regulations, which just make life difficult in launching a product line like this. It’s one more thing on my to do list that I have to deal with that I’d rather not have to worry about. Plus there’s the social stigma that exists because of all those laws and regulations. Some people are plain afraid to try it because they feel like it could get them in trouble. So it’s a shame people miss out because of that. But that’ll change eventually.

What are some solutions you've found?

I have hemp-based products that are almost the same product, but without the THC, so they will be available for sale to non-cannabis friendly vendors.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about cannabis?

How it can revolutionize your sex life. Especially for women who are maybe experiencing menopausal symptoms, dryness or pain during intercourse. It’s an incredible ingredient to add to lubricants, causing very delicious physical sensations due to the increase in blood flow and numbing of any pain.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about your product or service?

We have a range of lubricants, body paint and bath oils that come in gorgeous bottles. This product line is so carefully thought out to elevate your romantic experiences, whether that’s alone or with a partner!

If you could go back in time and do it all over again, what (if anything) would you do differently?

I probably would have launched this product line sooner!

Do you think cannabis legalization will change the world for the better? Why?

Absolutely! It’s a powerful medicinal plant that works is so many ways and does different things for different people. The more access, education and experience we have with this plant, the more effective we’ll be at using it to make our lives better.

Concentrate or flower? Why?

Oil concentrate in a lubricant. Obviously. Haha.

What advice would you offer to another woman who is looking to get into the industry?

I’d say follow your inspiration. Act on your hunches. And don’t worry too much about what other people are saying. Remember – women are doing things differently, so don’t expect everyone to understand your vision from the offset. Stay committed and see your ideas through.
