These Pipes are Making Us Hungry
I love doughnuts. They are the perfect dessert in my opinion. They are a single serving, compact and easy to transport mini-cake. They are available in a variety of flavours to suit any palate and readily available at millions of bakeries worldwide.
I know I'm not the only person to feel that way (ahem looking at you, Homer) and in fact, glass blower Brian Owac was so inspired by the tasty treats while working at a Portland-area Dunkin' Donuts that he created an homage to them with glass. Since then the sweet little pipes have exploded in popularity and are now available in over 20 US states.
Owac creates each glass confection himself, by hand from his studio in Portland and says he'll never tire of recreating doughnuts. “It’s screaming for new ideas because no two doughnuts are ever the same,” says Owoc. “I see the doughnut as an infinite palette.”
