A Simple Guide to Growing Your Own Weed Indoors
Spring is on its way, but you don’t have to wait for spring in order to begin growing weed indoors.
In fact, growing weed indoors now - regardless of where you live - has a ton of benefits. Not only can you save money and time by reducing common issues with outdoor-grown marijuana (such as pests and diseases) but you’ll be able to control everything from temperature to humidity, too.
If you’re new to cannabis cultivation, here’s a definitive guide to growing weed indoors.
Perfect Your Environment
To start, you’re going to need to get a good handle on your growing environment. At the bare minimum, you’ll need to be able to adjust the lighting in every period of growth. You will also need at least 40 to 60% humidity (higher during germination, lower during curing) throughout the entire process.
Temperatures need to be maintained at anywhere from 58 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, depending on the stage that the plants are in and whether the lights are on or off.
You will also need tools such as:
Thermometer/hygrometer
Carbon filter
Fan
Mechanical timer
Lights
Work the Stages
Once you’ve picked up your seeds, you can begin working through the five main stages of growing weed indoors: germination, the seedling stage, the vegetative stage, the flowering stage, and the harvesting/curing process.
All five are equally important - so make sure you don’t rush any of them! Take a look at our detailed growing tips and infographic for more information on how to grow weed indoors.
Keep in mind that your plants will need plenty of water - but should never be allowed to become waterlogged - while they are growing. You should also fertilize, trim, and check your plants regularly for any problems.
By being a vigilant grower, you will be successful at growing weed indoors - no matter what. All being said, let’s have a look at this ultimate infographic from WeekendGardener for better understanding. View the full article here
